Rubens Menin and vinho da Menin Douro are awarded by specialized Portuguese magazine

The Brazilian businessman Rubens Menin, don of the Menin Douro Estates Winery, received at this sixth fair (3) the Personality of the Year in Brazil award, one of the 25 categories of the “Os Melhores do Ano” award, promoted by “Revista de Vinhos” .

The Portuguese publication, specialized in drinks, gastronomy and wine tourism, held the annual award ceremony in Porto, a city recognized worldwide for its wine.

Produced by Vinícola Menin Douro Estates, the wine “Dona Beatriz 2019” won the Excellence Award, annually awarded for just 30 wines of all Portuguese production.

To receive the award, the businessman Lembrou do Avô, born in Portugal, and still revealed to be enchanted by the Douro region.

“O Douro enchanted me. Portugal is wonderful. People in Portugal are used to being here. Quem de fora pra ca, he is really delighted and we have no words to describe. I have a lot of land on a very good land on the edge of Douro, where we can try to make a very good wine”, thanked Menin. “I hope to last in Douro for many years and have the joy of living with this loving and wonderful community,” he completed.

In December 2022, the same publication classified as “Highly Recommended” another label of Menin Douro Estates, or red Menin Grande Reserva 2019.

The label “Highly Recommended” indicates that the wine has a quality between very good and excellent, with “full guarantee of leaving any happy person who has the opportunity to taste it with a smile”, according to the magazine.
