The National Election Council (CNE) of Equador confirmed this Saturday three more plates that will participate in the early presidential elections, which will take place on August 20. Among the candidacies is the Revolução Cidadã party, of ex-president Rafael Correa. The legend formalized the name of ex-parliamentary Luisa Gonzáles as a candidate, while or vice versa will be the economist Andrés Arauz.
The names were confirmed after the ex-president Jorge Glas, one of two more shortlisted for the candidacy, declined the possibility. He will be the coordinator of the campaign of the chosen duo.
No Twitter, Correa announced the two candidates of the left party. “We are going to recover the country. This is the first time a female president, elects the ballot box, ”he stated in his profile.

The presidential suit was brought before the president of the country, Guillermo Lasso, assassinated the decree known as “crusader death”, which resulted in the dissolution of the National Assembly, but also curtailed his mandate, which would go until 2025.
The CNE confirmed more of the plates. One of them is the Let’s Act alliance, formed by the Sociedad Unida más Acción (Suma) and Avanza parties, which the former vice-president of Equador Otto Sonnenholzner consolidated as the head of the plate, while the vice candidate will be Erika Paredes. The Democratic Left party, which would support the alliance, did not announce support.
Another presidential plate is formed by former deputies Fernando Villavicencio and Andrea González, from Movimento Construye, who will be candidates for president and vice, respectively.
