PT leaders in the Chamber admit government flaws in articulation and defend adjustments

Leaders of the Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) in the Chamber of Deputies admit faults of the federal government in articulating the Planalto with the House and defend that changes are fair in the way of agir.

The management of the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), has been the subject of complaints from federal deputies, especially from the center, regarding political articulation.

The parliamentarians demand delay, by the federal government, non-payment of amendments and in the nomination of indicated charges, lack of notices of trips by Lula and ministers to the electoral redoubts of them, in addition to the difficulty of being able to talk with the holders of pasta.

Yes, I want a first ministerial reform to contemplate more parties.

The leader of the PT in Câmara, Zeca Dirceu (PR), and the leader of the government in Câmara, José Guimarães (CE), no meanwhile, have been criticized by colleagues.

Both have been, even, praised by two deputies for attempts to deny consensus, but never always with the same support from the Planalto, endorse the leaders of the centrão ouvidos by CNN.

Zeca Dirceu affirmed that the delays in the analysis of the provisional measure for the restructuring of the federal government occurred not so much due to differences of merit, but rather due to political questions, for example. The text was approved on the last possible day so as not to lose its validity.

“The government is making the right decisions, only it does not give speed, amplitude and predictability [aos deputados]. For me, it is so very clear. The government decided to have a broad government, to negotiate like the Congress, to talk without importing anything”, said Zeca.

“But, people have to know that this week is going to happen. It is not going to happen here today, but it will happen here in 30 days. So when I arrive here in 30 days, I fear what will happen. Isso is not being a constant ”, she added.

The consideration also includes the sending of bills, which sometimes go to the Chamber without knowing exactly what it is about, prompting the report.

Asked about the reason for the descompasso, Zeca Dirceu said it was a “question of a thousand”. In his view, it is necessary to strengthen the role of the minister responsible for political articulation. No case, Alexandre Padilha, from the Secretary of Institutional Relations.

The complaints of the two deputies are turned to the ministers Padilha and Rui Costa, from the Civil House. Ala da Câmara especially attributed Rui Costa to the delay in the release of amendments and in the distribution of posts by the federal public administration.

Behind the scenes, the president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), defends that Lula declare himself a candidate for reelection, even if he does not appear in 2026, to throw away possible rivals on the road. At the intention of Lira, they have only manifested in reserve, so they will eventually stop competing with each other. For example, the ministers Fernando Haddad, Simone Tebet and Rui Costa himself.

After the approval of the MP for the restructuring, still in plenary, the leader José Guimarães thanks the support of Lira and leaders, without ceasing to cite problems faced by colleagues.

“[Agradecer] Those who suaram, not dialogue, that they understand, that they give credit to the government, even with the extreme difficulties that we have experienced in recent periods, with demands not met, many times, with chás de cadeira that many ministers give to the parliamentary gentlemen, as here that I was not directed”, he declared.

For a PT vice-leader of the government in Câmara ouvido pela CNN, under reservation, it is not enough to change ministers, but to change the method of political articulation. In the first place, recognize that there is a problem, or that it is still not accepted by all the pasta holders, he recounted.

The expectation is that Lula will be more directly involved in the talks and will receive more benches of non-Planalto parliamentarians.

In the last second fair (5), we had an attempt. The president intended to meet with the main leaders of the Chamber in his cabinet. Still, the meeting was unmarked. Several leaders were not in Brasília. Lira had traveled for engagement in São Paulo.

In the evaluation of the vice-leader of the government, it was a “childish mistake” of the Planalto to call a second meeting in the afternoon of a holiday week.

Asked about why Lula was not involved in a more active way, he affirmed that the president “had been very good” with Câmara. He still considers that travel in connection with foreign policy is also harmful.
