A military police officer who is part of the “Patrulha Maria da Penha – Guardiões da Vida” program is being investigated by the Corregedoria for allegedly threatening a student at the Colégio Estadual Visconde de Itaboraí, in Rio de Janeiro, in the last quarter-feira (31). He was cut off and no longer integrates the program, he says to the Military Police (PM).
The police would have gone to the local after a disagreement enters someone and his family. He was in service and used, without authorization, a PM trip. “Second reported by the hair present, the police verbally threatened and beat the hand of the same, in addition to being confronted by the educational team. After the event, the police were embarrassed”, he affirmed to PM.
The Civil Police says that “the case was not registered”, rather than “initiated proceedings to speed up the facts” and that the countries of the adolescents will hear, just like the school principal.
The Military Police affirmed that “the Corregedoria Geral da Corporação initiated an internal apuratório procedure on the fact by means of the 4th Delegation of the Military Judicial Police (DPJM), unit subordinate to the CGPM. The military police involved in this case were deprived of the service they performed and were no longer part of the “Patrulha Maria da Penha – Guardiões da Vida” squad.
The Secretary of State for Education (Seeduc) affirmed that “I took note of this sad incident at the school, in Itaboraí, and immediately activated the Guardianship Council and requested that the unit address register the occurrence in the delegation.”
“A Seeduc team was at the school to provide care to the student’s family and she herself was sent for psychological support. Seeduc repudiates all forms of aggression and does not compromise with any type of violence and discrimination”, says a note from the Secretary of State for Education.
