New government fiscal rebate should be as simple as possible, confirms economist

The simpler the new tax return, the better it will be, in the evaluation of the economist-chief of AC Pastore Consultores Paula Magalhães.

In interview with CNN RadioShe reminded her that, even though she did not give details about the proposal presented by Minister of Finance Fernando Haddad to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, what everyone indicates, she will bring “some type of spending control.”

For the economist, “it would be interesting to place the regra on top of something that the government is easier to control.”

“Regarding the divide, it is more complicated, because the public divide is the ratio of the total value of the GDP, and the government does not have control over the Gross Domestic Product, just a negative shock that ratio increases.”

Paula Magalhães highlighted that a rule that affects expenses and, depending on, revenues would be or ideal.

An economist said that the new regra should give credibility to the control of funds, differently from the text, which was disrespected several times.

Embora certifies that the disclosure of Haddad’s proposal is positive, since “better or sentiment that generates expectations of inflation”, it will be necessary to see how it will be operationalized.

“The court of juries will not happen from one day to the next, the problems will not be resolved once the new one returns,” he completed.

Ela explains that “once it is approved, how time controls the expectation of short-term inflation and, even so, achieves its impact of court court.”
