Fire in classroom causes fire in Belo Horizonte school

The Corpo de Bombeiros was activated in the manhã of this fourth fair (22) due to a fire at the Instituto de Educação, a school of the Minas Gerais state network, in Belo Horizonte.

At the moment, 23 people were treated and en route to Hospital Hoão XXIII. All of them smell smoke, but the health condition is stable and is not considered serious.

An initial raid did not find a fatal victim or in a more serious non-local state.

There was a start of fire inside a classroom and the school was evacuated. The fire is still confined to just two rooms, and the Corpo de Bombeiros teams are still trying to control the girls.

The Secretary of Education of the State stated that it is also providing assistance to victims en route to the hospital and that the classrooms will continue to be suspended pending the guarantee of the return of officials and students with insurance.

In note, the secretary also informed that the expertise to identify the causes of the fire will be carried out by the Civil Police and the structural damage will still be measured.
