A Virada Cultural 2023, in São Paulo, takes place this weekend, on May 27 and 28. More than 500 free attractions have been announced, which will be presented in boxes installed in all regions of the capital of São Paulo.
In Vale do Anhangabaú, there will be a 24-hour program. The other boxes stop at 10pm on Saturday and return at 10am on Sunday. Além disso, all the arenas will be called “Viradinha” from 09:00 to 12:00 on Sunday, with activities aimed at children.
The municipal administration invested R$ 40 million in the title “Virada Cultural do Pertencimento” and estimates that more than four thousand people will attend the event. Furthermore, it is expected that it will generate 1,800 indirect or direct job posts, with a return of R$ 400 million to the city.
It will be 12 arenas backed by all the regions of the city. In the North Zone, there will be boxes in Brasilândia and in the English Parade; not Center, it will be not Vale do Anhangabaú and its surroundings; in the West Zone, it will take place in Butantã; in the Eastern Zone, in Tiradentes, Itaquera and São Miguel Paulista; and in the South Zone in Campo Limpo, M’Boi Mirim, Parelheiros, Heliópolis and Capela do Socorro.

Metro and bus operation
The Secretary of Metropolitan Transportation, of the state government, announced that the Anhangabaú stations, from Line 3-Vermelha, and São Bento, from Line 1-Azul, will be operating normally 24 hours during the weekend, both for entry and exit two passenger.
In the remaining seasons, in the period for two standard hours (between 00:00 and 04:40), it will be working just after departure. The transfer to the other lines will be working for those who are within the metro system.
At CPTM, the stations São Miguel Paulista, from Line 12-Safira, and José Bonifácio, from Line 11-Coral, which will have upcoming events, will be open for boarding and disembarking. The rest of the CPTM stations will be open for disembarkation, according to the same metro scheme.
As for the buses, there will be 150 night lines that will operate normally during the early hours of the morning. Além disso, according to the municipal administration, 52 lines that serve 10 boxes in the city of São Paulo will have their itineraries or altered points.
The insurance work will be done in partnership with the state government and with the contracting of private insurance companies.
