Congress advances on the requirements of CPIs, MPs ready to defeat and indigenous lands

The National Congress is going to have a hectic week with the proceedings of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committees (CPIs), voting on Provisional Measures ready to overcome the prospect of voting for changes in the system of demarcation of indigenous lands.

The Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquérito (CPMI) of January 8 must define the work plan for the route of the activities. You can also vote on part two of the 400 requirements submitted by senators and federal representatives.

The claim defended by ruralistas is that the demarcation can only happen if it has been proven that indigenous groups occupied the required space before October 5, 1988, dating from the promulgation of the current Federal Constitution.

Indigenous people consider the setting of the framework a threat for the homologation of these areas. I had a mouth-wash and a tooth exchange in the last session because of the project.
