cancellation of Blink-182 divides public do Lolla

The second day of Lollapalooza Brasil at the Interlagos Autodrome, in São Paulo, served to demonstrate a non-public streak of the festival.

The main attraction of this Saturday (25) should be the trio Blink-182, which would have its historic show in the country and has already had exhausted income, but canceled after the injury of drummer Travis Barker.

Entering the venue was the American duo Twenty One Pilots, and it was there that the public began to divide between regrets and commemorations.

The side of the iconic pop punk band Yumi Kuga, for example, had planned a trip and had a huge financial prejudice because of the announcement that Blink-182 would not live.

“I came from Japan, so I spent a lot with my ticket to be here. It was a total loss ”, she affirmed in an interview with CNN.

“I was very sad because I am a fan of Blink for three hundred years. It was the only opportunity to see them, because they are not going to Japan. There I saw them and they are not. Even though I paid two my signatures at the entrance, then I had three incomes”, added to the fact that I did not want to reveal the size of its prejudice.

As well as many people claiming in the social networks, she believes that an artist of the same genre should have entered the place: “Pelo less um Green Day, um Good Charlotte to compensate.”

If the Blink-182 is already confirmed for the Lollapalooza Brasil 2024, Yumi nem so much: “Agora só se eu ganhar na mega-sena.”

Similar situation, but on a smaller scale, happened to the Paraiban Paulo Gomes, who saw his friends make a collective mobilization to attend the Blink-182 festival.

“I made an effort to get a card that divided [em parcelas o ingresso]higher expectations, friend buying a ticket from João Pessoa”, he explained.

He did not receive the news very well that Twenty One Pilots would enter the place: “I fiquei p*to. Pelo amor de deus, bandinha demais. It was not the same level. I could put something more legal, there is no bandeca.”

Have you had a commemoration or cancellation not two counts. Mainly the public of the generation-Z, in the age of 20, which has a much greater proximity to the recent music of Twenty One Pilots than the successes of Blink on MTV for two decades.

“I was happy [com a troca de headliners]. Eu nem conhecia o Blink. Twenty One Pilots in a short while, I know some music”, said Ana Carolina Araújo.

The opinion was shared by his friend, Caio Salgado, who said he found it more lively for the festival after the announcement of the new headliner.

“This is the third show that I’m going to do Twenty One Pilots, I was happy. I hope it will be the best show on Saturday, maybe the festival”, also agreed with the band’s supporter, Mike Andrade.

In the end, there is also that I share a little two two feelings.

Like Mariana Marvão, who despite liking Blink more, “takes advantage” of the situation.

“I don’t like Twenty One Pilots, but I was happy because I managed to buy the income from a sad emo,” he said.

“A little sad because everyone wanted to see Blink, happier because I managed to buy or enter cheaper,” he concluded.
