A Brazilian rappel instructor died at the Quinta-feira (16) after falling into a cave located in the Boranup forest region, in the city of Margaret River, in Australia. Marcello Silveira, 53, was on a field trip with Newman College students at the time of the accident.
The information is confirmed by the teaching institution in a statement. Second to school, Marcello received first-aid, but not local morreu. Some of you who witnessed the accident will receive psychological advice.
“It is with deep sadness that I write to inform you of a tragic accident that occurred on the afternoon of Quinta-feira, March 16, during the ATAR free education camp of the year 11 in Brides Cave, Boranup. Two external instructors who were participating in the camp, unfortunately each one was not local”, says the director Lucie McCror, in a statement addressed to the country of the two students.
“The emergency services were called immediately and some of us were driven by members of the team to another location. Unfortunately, we were immediately informed that the external instructor had passed away. On behalf of Newman College, we extend our condolences to his family and loved ones”, continued the director.
Marcello leaves his wife Katie and children. Friends raised a cow online to raise funds in support of the family, at the moment the campaign has received more than 300 doações.

The Margaret River city police confirmed in a note that they are investigating the circumstances of the death of Marcello Silveira. The team was initially called to the venue around 3:20 p.m. to support the volunteers of the State Emergency Service.
According to the police, several students and teachers had already descended from rappelling at the farm in the cave area when the instructor fell. The first aid was provided by the paramedics. No meanwhile, you professionals will not be able to revive it.
