Big Techs will earn US$ 1.1 trilhão in market value in 2023, says research

A survey done by the investment platform TradeMap showed that, in 2023, the Big Techs will grow or equivalent to 1.37 times the market value of all the companies listed in B3, on the Brazilian stock market.

The market value of Apple, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft and Alphabet at the end of 2022 was US$ 6.17 trilhões against US$ 7.28 trilhões on February 3, 2023 or that represents an increase of US$ 1.11 Trilhão in the year of 2023.

To demonstrate the amplitude of the growth, the research shows that all the companies listed in B3 are worth US$ 810 billion.

The company that obtained the best performance in 2023 went to Meta, donated by Facebook. Its share has risen by 55.0% and the market value of the company registered growth of US$ 176 billion in the year until this sixth fair (3).

In its last balance, Meta now expects that its sales in 2023 will be between US$ 89 billion and US$ 95 billion, down from the previous forecast of US$ 94 billion to US$ 100 billion, as the CEO of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, calling or period of “Ano de Eficiência”.

Amazon has the second best performance with a 23.1% appreciation in its years. The market value of the company grew to US$ 198 billion per year. In the sixth quarter, after the publication of the results of the 4th quarter of 2022, the share recovered -3.29%, which represents the remainder of US$ 97 billion of market value.

The company registered a net profit of US$ 300 thousand in the fourth quarter of 2022, a strength is in relation to the profit of US$ 14.3 billion obtained in the same period of 2021. In adjusted terms, the number is equivalent to a profit of US$ 0.03 per share, according to the forecast of FactSet analysts, of US$ 0.17.
