    7.8 magnitude earthquake strikes southern Turkey

    A fatal earthquake of magnitude 7.8 struck the south of Turkey in the early morning of this second fair (6), demolishing properties and killing residents, we will run to the roads while secondary tremors were felt in the entire region.

    At least five people were dead, said Erdinç Yılmaz, governor of the province of Osmaniye, south, à CNN.

    The governor of Gaziantep, Davut Gul, said on Twitter that “the earthquake was strongly felt in our city” and advised the public to wait outside their homes and remain calm.

    “Please, let’s wait for the fire without panic. We are not going to use our cars. We are not going to lotar the main entrances. We are not going to keep the phones busy, ”she said.

    Strong secondary tremors are felt in the south and center of Turkey.

    About 11 minutes after the main earthquake, the strongest aftershock of magnitude 6.7 struck about 32 kilometers northwest of the epicenter of the main earthquake.

    Another intense secondary tremor with a magnitude of 5.6 occurred 19 minutes after the main earthquake.

    The journalist Eyad Kourdi, who lives in the city of Gaziantep, spoke to CNN That I have heard secondary tremors “very strong” in less than a minute after the earthquake of magnitude 7.8, making it so that you belong to your house and fell into the house.

    Many of their vizinhos left their houses after the earthquake, aggravated.

    The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, sent his “best wishes” to those affected by the earthquake. Erdogan said that the earthquake was felt in many parts of the country and that the Turkish Emergency and Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) is on alert to help the victims.

    “I convey my best wishes to all our cities affected by the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and was felt in many parts of our country. All our relevant units are on alert about the coordination of AFAD,” Erdogan wrote on Twitter.

    It is likely that strong aftershocks will continue for a few hours and up to the next few days after an earthquake as strong as this one, according to meteorologists CNN.
