Zelensky held a meeting with the military and law enforcement officers in Odesa.
On Wednesday, May 31, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Odesa region on a working visit. There he introduced Oleg Kiper, the new head of OVA, and listened to reports on the situation in the region.
The Ukrainian leader announced this in his Telegram channel.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that Odesa is a priority region for Ukraine. There he introduced Oleg Kiper, the new head of the Odesa Military Administration.
He also held talks with the military and law enforcement officers regarding the security situation in Odesa. The president also praised the SBU of Odesa region for protecting Ukraine.
“During the meeting, important topical issues were discussed: restoration of energy infrastructure damaged as a result of Russian shelling and ensuring its stable functioning, restarting key enterprises under martial law, meeting the needs of internally displaced persons, rehabilitation of the military,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
We will remind you that on May 31, the president published a decree appointing Oleg Kiper as the head of Odesa OVA.
In March 2023, Zelenskyi dismissed the head of the Odesa OVA Maksym Marchenko.
