Zakharova: You can’t say that all Americans support Russophobia
The notion that all Americans support Russophobia is wrong, says Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. She stated this on the air of the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Russia 1 TV channel.
The diplomat noted that ordinary American citizens do not know about the statements of representatives of the country’s authorities. “The American people, who don’t even have a clue, it doesn’t occur to them – they are doing their everyday things, that those people for whom they voted speak on their behalf,” she said.
As an example, Zakharova cited the statement of US Senator Lindsey Graham, who called the death of Russians “the most successful” waste of Washington’s money. According to her, if he allowed himself such xenophobic statements about minorities among Hispanics, African Americans, Africans or Asians, then he would “be taken out the next day.”
The diplomat added that all similar statements related to the murder of Russians by American politicians are “a guide to action.”
Earlier, Graham called the death of Russians the most successful waste of US money. Thus, he commented on Washington’s military assistance to Kyiv.
