“Kyiv hopes Beijing will play a more prominent role in stopping the war,” Yermak shared on his Twitter account.

Yermek emphasized that they expect a meeting between Russian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba, in a statement on March 21, stated to China that the situation in Ukraine should be included in the solution process.

On the same day, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin stated that Russia and Ukraine should continue the dialogue between them and that peace should be established in the negotiations.
