Two dead and four injured in an accident in Santa Maria da Feira

Two people died and four others were injured, two of them seriously, as a result of an accident, this Tuesday morning, on National Road 1, in Escapães, Santa Maria da Feira.

The accident resulted from the collision of two vehicles near the Nadais/Escapães junction. Firefighters from Arrifana and Feira and the team from the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) are on site.

Two seriously injured people were transported to Gaia Hospital. Another two, light, to Hospital da Feira. Initially, there was an indication that there were six people injured, but this was not confirmed.

The fatalities, aged 23 and 25, are from Cape Verde.
