Gene Carroll, in turn, is considering another lawsuit.
The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, is going to appeal the verdict of the Manhattan Federal Jury in New York, which found him guilty in the case of the attempted rape of the journalist and writer Jean Carroll.
It is reported CNBC.
Trump’s attorneys said they would ask the court to overturn the $5 million in compensatory and punitive damages order. At the same time, Carroll’s lawyer said in a comment to the NYT newspaper that she is considering filing another defamation lawsuit against Trump.
It will be recalled that in April, a New York court accused 76-year-old Trump of secretly paying porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their affair. In total, the indictment includes more than 30 counts, which could lead to four years in prison.
