Tiago Dantas in Salonica to sign for PAOK

Benfica midfielder will be loaned to the Greek emblem. He says he is “very excited” to head to Thessaloniki.

Benfica midfielder Tiago Dantas is already in Salonica, where he will undergo medical examinations to sign a loan contract valid for a season, which also has an option to buy.

“It’s good to have players of the same nationality in the team. I spoke with Filipe Soares, he’s my friend and we’ve played together for several years. It was important for my decision. I’m very excited to come to a great club and I’m looking forward to playing at the Toumba stadium. I want to train myself and meet my new colleagues as soon as possible”, Dantas told Sport24.

Last season, the 21-year-old midfielder was loaned to Tondela.
