The Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill that will allow the abolition of the STA, EIT and entrance exams this year

From Monday, March 14, training will resume in eight regions of Ukraine. This applies to Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytsky, Zaporizhia, Odessa and Kirovohrad regions. Each educational institution will choose the format of study. But the Ministry of Education after consultations decided to 11th grade graduates to cancel the STA, EIT and entrance exams exactly for 2022.

This was announced by Education Minister Serhiy Shkarlet on TSN.

There will be no university exams to prevent all forms of corruption. The mechanism will be created like an external evaluation without the participation of the child. Everything will be transparent, because the computer does not take part in any corruption schemes, “he said.

Scarlett said that the Verkhovna Rada may approve the bill in the near future.

“If we stop teaching children, as Churchill said, we will soon have to build prisons,” he said.
