(CNN) — We are one step closer to knowing the identity of the new “Black Panther”.
Marvel released a new and longer Advance from the upcoming movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.
“We know what they whisper. They have lost their protector. Now is our time to strike. Show them who we are,” says Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda in the trailer.
At the end of the video, a woman of unknown identity appears in a new “Black Panther” suit.
Chadwick Boseman, who played “Black Panther”, died in 2020 at the age of 43 after a battle with colon cancer. Fans of the film have long speculated about how the actor’s death would be dealt with in the sequel, which is scheduled to be released on November 11.
In a recent interview with the magazine EmpireMarvel Studios president Kevin Feige said he “just felt like it was too soon” to bring the late actor’s character, T’Challa, back to life.
“Stan Lee always said that Marvel represents the world outside his window. And we had talked about how as extraordinary and fantastic as our characters and stories are, there is a human and relatable element in everything we do,” said Feige. “The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And [el director] Ryan [Coogler] incorporated that into the story.”
The new trailer also shows off the apparent villain Namor and his underwater kingdom, as well as the new superhero “Ironheart.”
