The Russian Federation issued a fake about 200,000 Lancet attack drones: they took a quote from “Star Wars”

According to the information of the Armed Forces, as of the beginning of July, only about 50 unused “Lancets” remained in Russia.

Russian propagandists showed a report on the production of Lancet kamikaze drones.

Propaganda Telegram channels immediately picked up on this news and relayed that production of these kamikaze drones had tripled. Allegedly, 200 thousand “lancets” have already been produced, and soon there will be a million. Although there were no such numbers in the plot of the Russian zombie TV

However, how informs edition of The Insider, and 200 thousand and a million “Lancets” turned out to be far from the truth.

These incredible numbers, it turns out, are taken from a quote from Star Wars. In the post of the Z-channel “Military informant” it is said:

“Two hundred thousand are already ready, another million is on the way” (S).

A quote from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones best describes the scale of the Lancet kamikaze drone production.

Later, the same propaganda Telegram channel denied information about a million drones.

“Comrades, of course we understand everything, but the quote about “200 thousand ready, another million on the way” that you write about, originally in our post about the production of “Lancets” was a humorous reference to the famous phrase from “Star Wars”, about it was written as a result. We were very pleased with this situation, but next time before rewriting, read the publication to the end,” the message reads.

At the same time, Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military observer of the “Information Resistance” group, counted only 39 “Lancets” of various types and an unknown degree of readiness in the video.

As for the total number of “Lancets” that are in the Russian Federation, on July 5, the deputy chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Gromov told the agency “Ukrinform”:

“In total, up to 900 units of these devices were produced, of which 850 were used in the combat zone. Accordingly, their balance today is approximately 50 UAVs.”

What is known about “Lancets”

Earlier, the Armed Forces said that the Ukrainian army was suffering from Russian Lancet drones on the battlefield.

IN BBC-Ukraine noted that the Russians are purposefully trying to use Lancets to knock out the very scarce Ukrainian air defense equipment, as well as artillery and other equipment.

Lancets are almost always paired with reconnaissance drones.

Propaganda Telegram channels regularly publish reports of Lancet strikes, although very often they are either outright fakes, or the Russians strike at false targets – as was the case here.
