Pentagon: Arms deliveries to Ukraine have made it difficult to monitor US own military stocks
The allocation of military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) from the United States has complicated the monitoring of its own weapons stockpiles, said Deputy Assistant to the head of the Pentagon Kimberly Jackson, RIA Novosti writes.
According to her, the supply of weapons is a responsible and stressful process. Jackson clarified that Washington takes into account the demands coming from Kyiv. “Everyone who has worked in the ministry cannot overestimate how hard it really is,” she explained. The politician admitted problems with military stocks in the United States due to supplies to Ukraine.
Lockheed Martin Vice President Kathy Wilbarger stressed that the US military-industrial complex (MIC) is facing difficulties that are “caused by a lack of a stable understanding of the demand for their products.”
Earlier, retired US Marine Dakota Wood said that the supply of weapons to Kyiv from Washington reduced the US defense capability and depleted the country’s military reserves. The US was left with obsolete equipment and faced the challenge of reducing weapons, he explained.
