The city receives only 25% of the required energy.

As a result of enemy drone strikes on a critical infrastructure facility in Zhytomyr, the most difficult situation has developed during the entire period of Russian shelling. A critical infrastructure object was destroyed. The deficit of electricity is 75%.

This was announced by the mayor of the city, Serhiy Sukhomlin, on the air of one of the TV channels.

After yesterday’s attack, the Russian aggressor receives only 25% of the required energy.

“The street lights were not turned on. Electric transport is not working. Oblenergo has given a schedule of shutdowns: Zhytomyr residents will be without electricity for 6-8 hours every day,” the mayor emphasized.

According to him, after the enemy attack, the electricity in the city immediately disappeared. Services immediately began to connect critical infrastructure objects. There were no problems with hospitals, says Sukhomlin, because they have been switched to generators.

The day before, Sukhomlin said that the city had the most difficult situation since the beginning of the war in terms of providing Zhytomyr with electricity. “All these months we had a more or less normal situation, if compared with other regions. And today we found ourselves in a very difficult situation, it is one of the most difficult in Ukraine today,” – says mayor.
