The Defense Department of Ukraine received 75 applications from domestic UAV manufacturers.
The Ministry of Defense concluded 16 contracts with Ukrainian manufacturers unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).

In general, in 2023, the ministry will allocate about 20 billion for the purchase of UAVs, taking into account the needs and requests of the Ukrainian army.
“We are talking about the development of the market of drones of a wide range of applications – air-land-water. This is about adjusting artillery, and about the task of defeating the enemy (strike drones), and about the delivery of military equipment, evacuation of the wounded, etc.,” – emphasized the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov.
From November 2022 to January 2023, the Ministry of Defense received 75 applications for UAVs of various types from Ukrainian manufacturers. 13 of them have already received codification, technical conditions have been approved. Another 3 types of UAVs are at the stage of codification.
The minister also said that in the coming days he plans to personally meet with Ukrainian developers and manufacturers of UAVs, after another very important meeting in the interests of the Defense Forces.
We will remind, earlier the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Valery Zaluzhnyi, made a decision on the formation in Ukraine of the world’s first UAV strike companies within the framework of the “Army of Drones” project.
The Commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, explained that the use of drones significantly expands the capabilities of Ukrainian intelligencein particular, helps to save the life of the defenders and destroy the enemy at a distance.
