The community of the UOC-MP cathedral in Khmelnytskyi, where a military man was beaten, decided to join the OCU

In Khmelnytskyi, the congregation of the UOC MP cathedral, where a Ukrainian serviceman was beaten today, decided to join the OCU.

The chairman of the audit commission, Yuriy Smal, told about it, he reports “Public”.

Under the temple, signatures were collected for his transfer to the OCU. According to preliminary data, 1,235 people officially registered for the meeting.

“The audit commission, mass media and UOC MP priest Oleksandr Rybchynsky visited the cathedral. They describe the property. Then the church will be closed. Divine services will not be held in it until Easter according to the Eastern rite,” the publication noted.

Tomorrow, April 3, representatives of the commission will take the documents on the re-registration of the religious community to the OVA.

We will remind you that today in Khmelnytskyi, a UOC MP priest was beaten up in the church by a volunteer of the Armed Forces who asked in the church: “How many more people have to die for you to stop going to the Moscow Patriarchate?”.

This incident outraged local residents. People gathered near the temple to hear explanations of their actions from the priests. The mayor of Khmelnytskyi Oleksandr Simchyshyn emphasized that after this shameful incident, the city council will terminate all contracts for the use of communal land with the UOC MP.
