Last Wednesday, the Civil Guard requested citizen collaboration to locate a vehicle, Renault Clio, whose owner, Juan Manuel Isla, disappeared on July 22. He disseminated the latest existing images, “when the disappeared person left the town of Manzanares towards Membrilla on the N430A highway, hours after being seen for the last time.” The agents of the Central Operating Unit (UCO) of the armed institute have been investigating the whereabouts of Isla, 59, for months. They know that one of the last people to see him was a salesman from the town, “a well-known neighbor in the town who has acted as a commission agent in the sale of land and other properties,” they say, and whom they have questioned.
Supposedly, he had met Isla to give her a significant amount of money for the sale of his farm, on the outskirts of the town. It so happens that this same intermediary had a relationship in the past with two other people for an economic transaction of sale, one of whom, Jesús González, 54, is still missing; and another, which is now also being investigated, “mysteriously fell into a well” in which it was found and, at that time, almost a decade ago, it was considered a suicide, sources in the case reveal.
The businessman Jesús González disappeared on June 19, 2019. His track is lost when he had just sold some high-end cars. The commission agent was the same resident of the town who is now under suspicion. Regarding the man found dead in the well, he has not disclosed his identity. None of the sellers came to collect the money that the intermediary was supposed to give them.
Juan Manuel Isla’s gray Renault Clio vehicle that the Civil Guard was looking for with the collaboration of citizens was found last week in a field in Albacete, according to sources in the case, 145 kilometers from where it had been recorded by cameras in Manzanares. He is now being examined by criminal agents from the armed institute in order to find any clues.
