This victory was the 16th in a row for the Seleção in the group stage of the World Cup. Tite’s team repeated the historic record of the German national team, which also did not know the bitterness of defeats at the World Cup during sixteen matches between 1990 and 2010.
The last time the Brazilians conceded in the group round of the planetary championship was at the 1998 World Cup, when they lost to Norway with a score of 1:2. Since then, the South Americans have won 13 matches and drawn three times in the finals of the World Cup.
