RIA Novosti: the average revenue of a taxi driver per shift in Russia increased by 33% over the year
The average income of Russian taxi drivers per shift increased by 33 percent over the year. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the study of the State Customs Committee of the Holding.
“On average, a shift lasts about 8 hours. The average revenue of a driver per shift is about 5.6 thousand rubles. Over the year, this figure increased by 33 percent,” the report says.
It is noted that a year earlier this figure was at the level of 4.2 thousand rubles. At the same time, the net income of a taxi driver is about 35-40 percent of this amount. The study also showed that the number of orders performed by a taxi driver per hour increased over the year.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Transport is developing a mechanism that will deprive taxi drivers of the opportunity to work more than 12 hours by changing aggregators. Currently, unscrupulous taxi drivers exceed the allowable limit of work per day, simply by switching to another company and continuing to take orders.
Since March 1, new rules for taxi and public transport drivers have come into force in Russia. Driving buses, trolleybuses, trams will not be allowed to people who have an unexpunged or outstanding conviction for grave and especially grave criminal offenses.
