Approximately half of the population of Kyiv remains without electricity. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the city administration.
“The situation in the capital as of 08.30 (09.30 Moscow time — approx. “Tapes.ru”). 50 percent of the city’s housing stock is operating in emergency power outage mode, ”the authorities said in a statement. It is clarified that before this figure was 70 percent. In addition, the water supply in Kyiv has been fully restored. At the same time, a number of consumers have problems with pressure, especially on the upper floors of de-energized buildings.
Earlier, the energy supply company YASNO reported emergency power outages in the Ukrainian capital at the direction of Ukrenergo. Odessa also fell under the restriction of energy supply. On the morning of November 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked for additional gas and diesel fuel for generators to be provided to the republic to compensate for the lack of electricity in the country.
A day earlier, the head of state described the situation in the energy sector as difficult. According to him, almost all regions of Ukraine continue to experience serious problems with electricity supply.
