Ambassador to the US: Unlike Washington, Moscow does not deploy nuclear weapons in other countries
The actions of Moscow and Washington in the nuclear sphere differ significantly. Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov called the main difference between the nuclear policy of the two countries, his words are quoted by Newsweek.
“We do not deploy – as the United States does – our nuclear weapons on the territory of non-nuclear-weapon states,” he said.
According to him, Moscow does not train the armed forces of other countries in the use of nuclear weapons and does not lose control over them.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow is aware of the responsibility that arises from the possession of nuclear weapons. “We will defend our allies with all the means at our disposal, if necessary,” he added.
