Suspicion of involvement in ISIS: a Ukrainian woman who was married to militants three times was arrested in Germany

Involvement in an Islamist terrorist group is not the only charge.

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office of Bielefeld, under the leadership of officials of the State Department of Criminal Police of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany), brought charges against the Ukrainian. She is accused of violating two articles of the country’s Criminal Code: membership in the foreign terrorist organization ISIS and violation of duties to care for and raise a child.

About this reported Prosecutor General’s Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.

“The accused Hatidche Ts. went to Syria in 2014 with her then-husband and four minor children. There she joined ISIS together with her husband, for whom she managed the household in accordance with ISIS’ concepts of the role of a woman,” law enforcement officers reported.

It is known that after the death of her first husband, the Ukrainian woman was married twice more to ISIS fighters.

The woman raised her children according to the “laws” and ideology of ISIS. At the beginning of 2019, the Ukrainian woman was captured by the Kurds, where she remained until 2021.

The circumstances under which the Ukrainian citizen ended up in Germany were not explained.

It will be recalled that the terrorist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) was formed from the remnants of Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AKI). It aims to create a theocratic caliphate based on an extremist ideology that denies the right to life of people of other faiths and beliefs.

In May 2023, law enforcement officers conducted raids in ten German federal states, during which seven alleged fundraisers were detained “Islamic State” in Syria

It was previously reported that the former member of ISIS turned into a socialite.
