The sixth day of the World Cup will once again feature four games, with the England-United States of America clash standing out (19 hours, RTP1 and Sport TV1) which, in case of victory, guarantees the English early qualification for the round of 16 of the competition.
For Group B of the tournament, the British team, which thrashed Iran by 6-2 in the opening round, faces the USA, which in the opening game drew with Wales (1-1). The game closes the set of four matches scheduled for this Friday.
Also in this group, opening the day (10 am, Sport TV1), Wales plays Iran. The two teams did not win in the opening round and cannot concede more points, under penalty of mortgage the qualification.
At lunchtime (1pm, Sport TV1), Qatar and Senegal kick off the second round of Group A. The host team, which lost to Ecuador (0-2) in the first meeting, measures forces with the Senegalese, who also started to lose and by the same margin, against the Netherlands. That is, zero margin of error for both teams.
A hypothetical draw in Qatar-Senegal will pave the way for the qualification of whoever wins the third game of the day (16 hours, RTP1 and Sport TV1): Netherlands-Ecuador, given that the two teams have three points each, as a result of their respective triumphs, in the initial round.
