Sporting de Braga will launch, on Thursday, the SCB Innovation Hub, which aims to offer incubation and development environments capable of hosting innovation projects within the scope of ‘sportstech’, the club from Minho reported this Tuesday.
The “unique project in Portugal”, as stated by Sporting de Braga on its official website, aims to “offer incubation and development environments capable of hosting innovation projects within the scope of ‘sportstech’ [tecnologia na área do desporto]namely in the areas of Health and Performance, Sports City (Grassroots Football and Modalities), ‘Smart Stadium/Arena’ and ‘Fan Engagement'”.
The project, which will be presented on Thursday at Estádio Municipal de Braga, at 11 am, was born out of a partnership with Microsoft, with the collaboration also of the University of Minho, Startup Braga, the Global Sports Innovation Center and Uría Menéndez .
The club led by António Salvador understands that this is “an important step in supporting promising ‘startups’ at regional, national and international level, with a view to the exponential growth of all players, helping to generate new opportunities for business and growth”.
