A GNR soldier was violently attacked outside a bar in the city of Tomar. He would have gone to help a colleague who was being attacked and harassed, when he was the target of the attacks. Both were out of commission.
The case took place on Saturday morning. The first information indicates that the soldier, who will serve at the Alcanena post, learned that a colleague, off duty, had been recognized in a bar and was being harassed. In fact, the two suspects would have already squeezed his neck.
The soldier went to his rescue and, outside the nightlife establishment, he was violently assaulted and attacked with a sharp object, apparently a broken glass. The soldier suffered several cuts on his face and body that forced him to be hospitalized and had to undergo several sutures.
So far, there is still no record of arrests, but the suspects will be identified, as they had already been referenced for other criminal offenses.
