Signature collection organized in Estonia against Kirkorov’s concert in Tallinn on May 27
In Estonia, they organized a collection of signatures against holding a concert by Russian singer Phillip Kirkorov, which is to be held on May 27 in Tallinn. This was reported on the website of the people’s initiative Rahvaalgatus.ee, intended for petitions.
From the appeal of the Estonians, it follows that the petition is addressed to the mayor’s office and the city assembly of the capital. “The petition can be submitted if it collects at least 1 percent of the signatures of registered residents of Tallinn who have the right to vote, that is, about 4,000 votes,” the website says.
1174 people have already voted against the artist’s concert. The day before, Vice Mayor of Tallinn Vadim Belobrovtsev said that Kirkorov’s concert should be postponed indefinitely, while the city administration does not exclude that this may lead to the need to compensate the organizer for financial losses.
