The approximately 100 workers at Siaco, a footwear component company in São João da Madeira, which closed its doors last Monday, today received letters to apply to the unemployment fund.
According to the coordinator of the Footwear Union, Fernanda Moreira, the letters “were delivered to the workers by the insolvency administrator”.
With this document, which was one of the main claims, workers will have access to support from the State after being informed that the company has entered into insolvency proceedings.
