Foreign Ministry spokesman Zakharova: the earthquake was felt in Baghdad, where the Russian delegation is located
The Russian delegation, which is in Baghdad during the visit of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Iraq, caught the earthquake that hit Turkey. This was announced by the official representative of the department Maria Zakharova in her Telegram channel.
“An earthquake was also felt in Baghdad at night. This happens on business trips. What is unusual is that today (and this was at about 4:20 local time) there was a long hesitation,” the diplomat said.
Zakharova added that it was precisely the hesitation that lasted several minutes, which then repeated in a milder form.
The Lenta.ru correspondent confirmed the information that the tremors were felt in Baghdad, where the Russian Foreign Minister is visiting.
