Rui Costa: ″We cannot be dazzled that things are going well″

Rui Costa, leader of the eagles, recognized, this Sunday night, the good moment of the eagles, but warned that no one can lose focus, because “there is a long way to go until the conquests”.

The president of Benfica thanked the applause from the supporters who participated in the 8th edition of the world Swedish tournament at the club’s venues, this Sunday, in Luz. And he praised the dedication of supporters.

“These are people who experience Benfica in a different way because they cannot be as present as others. I feel honored and proud. It is a good moment for the club and it is normal that things are seen in a more positive way”, began by mention, in declarations to BTV.

Despite the good moment, the official warned of the risks of a possible slowdown in the focus on the task to be performed. “We work hard, looking for the years to end as this one is running in sports. It’s not just in football, in sports as well. It’s been, so far, positive. focus cannot be lost and we cannot be dazzled that things are going well”, recalled Rui Costa.

According to the director, there is only one way to maintain success. “What we have to do, after the interruption of the championship (in football) and in sports, is to win. The focus we had at the beginning of the season to program all the teams and the titles we want has to be maintained, despite how the things are at the moment. This is the path we want to go. Hence we have this way of being at the club, feeling that people are happy with what is being done”, he stressed.
