Roger Schmidt renews until 2026

Benfica announced, this Friday, the renewal of Roger Schmidt’s contract for two more seasons, that is, until 2026.

Benfica reached an agreement to renew the contract with Roger Schmidt, a German coach who joined the club at the beginning of the season. The coach will remain linked to the Reds for two more seasons, that is, until 2026.

Roger Schmidt has 35 wins in 43 games for Benfica and leads the championship with ten more points than the runner-up. The eagles won the Champions League group and are in the quarterfinals of the millionaire competition. In the opposite direction, the Luz club was eliminated from the League Cup and the Portuguese Cup.
