The Benfica coach highlighted the good performance of the checkered team and the patience of the reds in the 3-1 victory of the Luz team.
“I’m very happy with this victory, which wasn’t easy. Boavista played well. In the first half we had opportunities, but we needed to be patient. After the break, we attacked well and knew how to be patient. If we don’t score at the beginning, we have to keep it confidence, that’s what we did. We had a good attitude and deserved to win. In the last three games we played very well from the start, today it wasn’t so much. We started well in the second half and scored, but they equalized at the first opportunity. Then we accelerated the game game and we managed to win”, said Roger Schmidt.
