Reims: one dead after a shooting followed by a chase

A 22-year-old man died on Sunday evening around 11:30 p.m. in the Orgeval district of Reims, franceinfo learned on Monday June 5 from concordant sources. According to a police source, the victim was known for drug trafficking and the track of the settlement of accounts is privileged. This is the third such death in this Reims district since May 25.

In a press release, the public prosecutor of Reims specifies that “several shots were heard followed, it seems, by a chase between two vehicles”. Hit, the victim’s car ended up on its roof, adds the police source. The driver died on the spot. According to the prosecutor, he lived near the scene. The Reims public prosecutor’s office has opened a murder investigation, entrusted to the judicial police.
