The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, is outraged by the court’s too lenient punishment for young rapists.

The prosecutor’s office intends to appeal the court verdict regarding sexual violence against an underage girl in Transcarpathia.

About this informs Office of the Prosecutor General.

It is noted that the Volovets court in Transcarpathia passed a verdict against three minors for committing sexual violence.

“On March 16, 2023, the Volovetsky District Court of Zakarpattia Oblast passed a verdict in criminal proceedings against three minors for committing sexual violence against a minor. Currently, the verdict, in accordance with the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code, has not entered into force,” the message says.

Due to the strong publicity in the social network, the prosecutor’s office will appeal the verdict in accordance with the procedure established by law.

“The prosecutor’s office will take all measures to protect the rights of the victim and ensure fair and inevitable punishment of those guilty of the crime,” law enforcement officers said.

We will remind, on Transcarpathia three teenagers raped a 14-year-old girl.

After the scandal, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, commented on the high-profile scandal in Transcarpathia, where raped a 14-year-old schoolgirl and filmed the crime.

The head of Zakarpattia OVA Viktor Mykyta reacted to the scandal regarding punishment for teenagers, who raped a schoolgirl and boasted about it, shooting videos of violence.
