President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a written message to the 1st International Family Symposium held at the Haliç Congress Center with the main theme of “Family in the Digital Age” by the Istanbul Family Foundation.
Wishing the symposium to be successful and beneficial in his message, Erdoğan congratulated the Istanbul Family Foundation for leading the organization of this important symposium. Stating that the modern life and way of thinking that dominates the whole world, the family, which is the core of the society, is facing great threats, Erdoğan said in his message:

While divorce rates are increasing, marriage rates are unfortunately decreasing. Much worse, individual freedom. “It is the promotion of deviant lifestyles that are contrary to the common values of humanity, and the encouragement or even the imposition of distorted relationships through the media and social media. It is our top priority to stand up to the deterioration of the family institution and protect the family, which is the main pillar of society.”
