Luxembourg Prime Minister Bettel silenced Volodymyr Zelensky with obscene gesture
Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel silenced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with an obscene and humiliating hand gesture. A recording of the incident that took place on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit has been posted on YouTube.
The video shows Zelenskiy trying to talk to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel. After a short conversation, Bettel made a characteristic hand gesture towards Zelensky, probably hinting at the excessive talkativeness of the Ukrainian politician.
The summit of the European political community was held in Moldova in early June. It was attended by 47 states, the heads of the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament. The event was held on the territory of the winery “Mimi” in the village of Bulboaca, 45 kilometers from Chisinau
In response to such a step, the head of Ukraine turned away with a mock smile. He tried to show reporters that he was not offended by Bettel and did not take his actions as an insult.
During the event, Zelensky announced the organization of a future summit to discuss his peace plan. According to the politician, the Ukrainian authorities want to attract as many countries as possible to participate in it, for this reason the date of the event has not been approved.
Now we are at the stage of organizing such a summit, it depends on some points
Vučić on the conversation with Zelensky
After a conversation with the Ukrainian leader, Vucic said that the meeting did not change Belgrade’s position on sanctions against Russia. According to him, the politicians had a “correct conversation”. Vučić clarified that the decision on restrictive measures is made by the citizens of Serbia, while Belgrade announced its position in March 2022.
Why should I impose sanctions? Because he stood for four minutes with Zelensky? And the person didn’t even mention them, he was correct
The Serbian President added that the only other topics of the summit were Serbia, Russian President Vladimir Putin and anti-Russian sanctions.
