The president of FC Porto defends that the blue and whites can still be national champions
Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa remains convinced that the dragons can still achieve the revalidation of the title this season.
this sunday, in statements to TSFafter winning the Roller Hockey Champions League, in Viana do Castelo, the director admitted that, as long as it is “mathematically possible”, he believes that the football team can lift the trophy.
Regarding Saturday’s meeting between Benfica and Braga, which ended with the eagles winning 1-0, Pinto da Costa revealed that he did not pay attention to the duel between first and third placed:
“I didn’t see it. Honestly, I didn’t see it, I was having dinner with the family and I didn’t see it. I’ve been told it wasn’t a great game, and Braga was very defensive, but that’s not disputed”, stressed the Porto president, about the match played at Estádio da Luz, in which the reds beat the Minho team, by 1-0, and provisionally increased the advantage from four to seven points, for the blues and whites.
FC Porto visit Arouca on Monday, in a match counting for the 31st round of the Portuguese League, with the objective of winning the three points, to keep alive the hope of revalidating the title of national champion.
