Penalties rained down on illegal service vehicles in Manisa

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has inspected the service vehicles that carry out “illegal” service transportation throughout the province without a certificate of authorization.

In Turgutlu, together with the traffic police of the District Police Department, the inspection of the service vehicles in the district of Turgutlu; Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Metin Memiş, Head of Transportation Department Hüseyin Üstün and Public Transport Branch Manager Mustafa Duman also attended.

Metin Memiş, Deputy Secretary General of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, stated that inspections against vehicles engaged in pirated transportation without a certificate of authorization will continue, “The inspection carried out by our traffic police teams from the Center, Salihli and Turgut, together with the traffic police, started at 6.30 in the morning and continued until 9:00 am. During the inspection, a penalty was applied for service transportation to 25 vehicles without a license plate. In addition, 6 vehicles were penalized by the traffic police and 1 vehicle was banned from traffic. This practice against unlicensed transportation will continue in the same way in other districts,” he said.
