Paris Saint-Germain wins 11th title of French champion and Messi breaks records

This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain was crowned French football champions for the 11th time, drawing 1-1 at home to Strasbourg, in a game of the 37th and penultimate round of the French League.

Argentine Lionel Messi scored, in the 59th minute, for Paris Saint-Germain, with Danilo and Vitinha in the ‘eleven’, but Kevin Gameiro equalized in the 79th minute.

With the tie, PSG now has 85 points, four more than Lens, with just one day left for the French League final, and won its 11th title, ninth in the last 11 years, isolating itself as a club with more trophies, overtaking Saint-Étienne.

Lionel Messi became the top scorer in the top five European leagues with 496 goals. The Argentine also equaled Dani Alves as the player with the most trophies in football history: 43.
