One seriously injured in a skid in Ponte de Sôr

A man was seriously injured, this Sunday, following a mishap of the goods van he was driving on National Road (EN) 2, next to the municipal airfield of Ponte de Sôr, Portalegre district.

The alert was given at the beginning of the night, around 20.40 hours, and the 50-year-old man was immediately transported to the Portalegre Hospital with serious injuries, according to JN, a source from the Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of the Alto Alentejo.

The accident occurred on the EN 2 in Ponte de Sôr. On site were the Volunteer Firefighters of Ponte de Sôr and the GNR, with 13 operators, supported by six vehicles.
