One dead and one seriously injured in a collision in Famalicão

A 19-year-old girl died and an 18-year-old boy suffered serious injuries, on Saturday night, after being run over at Variante Nascente, in Gavião, Famalicão.

According to the information that JN was able to collect, the victims were picked up by a heavy vehicle in circumstances that are still not fully understood. The first information shows that they may have been run over after a breakdown in the car they were traveling in.

Firefighters from Famalicenses, from Famalicão, VMER from Braga, from the hospital of S. João, SIV Santo Tirso and the INEM Psychologists Unit were called to the site. The East Variant was cut in the North/South direction. The victim in serious condition was taken to Braga Hospital.
