New “cotton” in Iran: an oil refinery is on fire

Local media reports that a powerful fire broke out at an oil refinery in the Salimi industrial area in the city of Azarshahr.

Note that by coincidence, the fire at the plant broke out almost at the same time with a drone attack on an industrial center for the production of drones in Isfahan.

Let’s add that the city of Azarshahr is one of the largest industrial centers in northwestern Iran. This enterprise produced automotive oils.

Some of the oil tanks exploded. One of the fire trucks was destroyed by fire after the explosion.

The number of victims or victims and the reasons for this explosive incident are currently unknown.

Firefighters are busy extinguishing this large-scale fire so that the fire does not spread to other parts of the plant.

Meanwhile the Ministry of Defense of Iran confirmed the explosion at the ammunition factory due to an attack by drones. Representatives of the official authorities called the drone attack “unsuccessful”.
